S.T.E.P volunteer program is now open and accepting applications for Magnoliafest 2011. If you are an awesome RETURNING volunteer and in good standing with your department captain, the $150.00 deposit will be waived. Please sign up thru our system as soon as possible. If you are a NEW volunteer, please sign up now and your application will be reviewed and processed. There are fewer positions this year, so sign up now! Thanks to you all, this festival could not happen with out our wonderful volunteers...

We have many of the favorites returning and some Artists who will be performing at Magnolia Fest for the first time.
Bela Fleck and the Flecktones will be returning with the original line-up and Keller Williams is teaming up with the Travelin McCourys. The Travelin McCourys will be hosting an all-star jam Friday night right before moe. takes the stage for the first of their two performances of the weekend. Also Friday night, Lucinda Williams will be performing. On Saturday, Anders Osborne will be making his first appearance at Magnolia Fest along with several other great artists from New Orleans who will be playing throughout the weekend. Returning will be Donna the Buffalo, Jim Lauderdale, the Mosier Brothers, Col Bruce Hampton and the Quark Alliance, Cornmeal and Dread Clampitt and others.
The 2011 Magnolia Fest is under new ownership, we are working very hard to maintain the integrity of past Magnolia Fests. You will see all the familiar faces working at the Festival and a few new friendly ones. There will not be many changes but there will be a few.
The Parade will still be on Saturday morning but will start at 11am. This year we are inviting you to decorate your golf carts and join us in the Parade.
Sunday is Vassar Clements Day. Join us at noon for Gospel Music with the Lee Boys. Donna the Buffalo will be closing out the festival on Sunday evening.
There will be activities all day as well as scheduled events at the Kids Tent, Yoga in the Meadow, and a new dining area at the Food Vending Village.
